GRADUATION
INFORMATION
It is the desire of all of us connected with Covenant Academy to help
every willing student achieve the goal of a high school education.
To this end, Covenant Academy offers five different types of diploma for its graduates, each designed to meet a specific need.
Math and Computer Skills are highly recommended for all Students.
Each high school level student and/or his parents should examine the various
Diplomas
and determine which one is right for
him/her, determine eligibility and meet all of the Graduation
Requirements.
Those planning to go to college or university should find out from their chosen schools what specific courses will be required for admission and plan their high school course of study accordingly.
These students will also need to make arrangements to take ACT or SAT college entrance examinations BEFORE applying for college or university admission or having transcripts sent to colleges.
Schedule for these tests will be published in our newsletters or can be found at the respective web sites,
http://www.act.org
or
http://www.collegeboard.org.
Our school code number for both tests is 011-873.
Students may receive diplomas at any time during the year as long as all requirements are met.
However, under NO circumstances may any student receive a diploma sooner than three months after enrollment.
There is a one week waiting period for diplomas and up to 3 days for transcripts.
We will hold a graduation ceremony, complete with cap and gown, on the fourth Thursday night of May each year.
Only those students who are enrolled prior to March 1, and have all requirements completed by graduation day may participate in this ceremony and receive diplomas that evening.
All expenses connected with graduation ceremonies will be paid for by the students participating in it, and all those participating must pay equally.
There will be three graduate meetings during the school year, with attendance for at least two of them a mandatory prerequisite to walking in graduation. The
Graduation Application
must be completed, signed by appropriate teacher, and turned into the office BEFORE diplomas will be ordered.

In addition, Covenant Academy also provides an Accelerated
Diploma Program
for
older students to complete their education.
Accelerated Diploma Program students can earn a diploma instead of a GED while studying the same material.
These students will be issued General Diploma, with an upgrade to College Prep
Diploma upon submission of passing ACT scores. Find out more about

Diploma Program. |
